According to Katie Carrera  Of The Washington Post:

After nearly three months, the Washington Capitals received some welcome news on Saturday.

Nicklas Backstrom took part in line rushes during the morning skate for the first time in three months, offering a clear indication that he will return to the lineup against the Montreal Canadiens.

Backstrom, who has missed 40 games with a concussion, was skating on the top line flanked by Alex Ovechkin and Marcus Johansson.

“I’m excited. I haven’t played a game since three months back,” Backstrom said Friday. “I’m kind of excited and want to get out there. We’ll see what’s going to happen.”

This is incredible news for the Washington Capitals and it couldn't come at a better time, as we are back in control of our playoff destiny!
